Halacha B’Iyun
Program


The Iyun and Bekius programs run at the same time. Each program can be completed on it’s own. To achieve semichah, you need to complete both programs.

How it Works


  • Monday

    Detailed source sheets sent every Monday and Wednesday to help you learn the sugya and prepare for the shiur.

  • Tuesday

    Point-by-point summary on the week’s in English released to the dashboard.

  • Wednesday

    Extra marei mekomos are posted on your dashboard, if you’d like to learn the sugya in greater depth.

  • Sunday

    Shiur is live streamed to your dashboard, covering the relevant Gemara, Rishonim and Acharonim all the way through to the halacha l’maaseh. An audio recording is posted later on, together with a written summary.

Built-In Chazara

At the end of each section (usually at the end of a zman), there is time allocated for Chazarah and a WhatsApp group dedicated for the purpose of reviewing and discussing the sugya

Join a focused and energetic chabura! Share insights, ask questions, and discuss thoughts through the WhatsApp group.

Support & Guidance

You can contact the Shoel U’meishiv, Rav Yaakov Markovitz at any time, to guide you in your learning and to help you with any questions you may have, including technical help.

Bechinos

There is a test after each section, usually at the end of zman. This is required if you’re aiming to get semichah, and highly recommended as a way of retaining the material learnt.

Semichah

At the end of the learning cycle (usually around 4 years), there is an opportunity to be tested and receive semichah under the guidance of HaRav Avigdor Nebenzahl Shlita.

Available Anytime

If you do not wish to learn the current limud, you can enrol in a past limud and move through the material along the weekly schedule. The sho’el umeishiv will be available to answer your questions and discuss your learning.
