Semicha and Certification Options
Through our program, you’ll develop tools for learning Halacha and take pride in your accomplishments. While focused on Torah learning, VHP offers optional Semicha (at our discretion) and tests for motivation and review. Completing the full limudim earns a Michtav Bracha from Harav Nebenzahl Shlita, even if you don’t pursue Semicha.

Our Online Semicha Program:
The VHP offers online Semicha for those interested in learning and taking exams for this purpose. We value the importance of Semicha and take it seriously, which is why our Semicha tracks require dedication, consistency, and commitment from participants.
We offer Semicha in two tracks: Semicha in Orach Chaim and Semicha in Yoreh Deah. Both tracks take approximately four years to complete. To receive Semicha, participants are required to study the material and watch the shiurim. About every two months, they must take an online exam, and occasionally, an oral exam (via video) with one of the program’s rabbis. Additionally, the Orach Chaim track includes a Bekius track, which focuses on covering ground efficiently.
We strive to provide the best possible support to help participants achieve this goal, assisting them in creating personalized learning plans if needed. Admission to the Semicha track requires passing an eligibility interview.
The Semicha itself is awarded based on the discretion of the program’s rabbis, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
